There have been five events to mourn Jo's loss:

Her funeral
Her wake at our home
A gathering of friends in Sydney
The celebration of her 50th birthday and art exhibition
The scattering of her ashes

Further words and images of these events will be added here.

This beautiful elegy was written by our dear friend Luke within hours of Jo's passing. During the following weeks, I worked with many other talented and generous musicians to enrich and develop it. This version was first played at Jo's wake, at our home, on February 26 2022

This is the final formal mourning event. One day, long before we knew of any illness, we told each other how we'd like to be farewelled when that day came around. It wasn't a sombre conversation, we were just light heartedly letting each other know how we'd like it to be. Jo said, literally, 'Just blow me out of a cannon somewhere in the Blue Mountains'. And later added 'at Mermaid's Cave near Blackheath'. While she was only ever a visitor, she adored being in or around mountains. So, this will be her eternal resting place for all to visit. And one day, I will join my love there.
